This article describes how to manage the Admin Quarantine area in CONTROL PANEL.

To access the Admin Quarantine area, navigate to CONTROL PANEL > Services > Email Protection > Email Management > Admin quarantine. It will redirect you to the Admin portal where you can manage quarantined emails that were routed to Admin Quarantine.

Inbound Admin Quarantine Management

Here you can use the search tools to find an email that got into Admin Quarantine.

Note: email data is stored in Admin Quarantine for 30 days.

Search

The following search criteria can be adjusted:

  • Search by To address
  • Search by From address
  • Search by Subject
  • Search by Date From and by Date To
    Note:
    you can go back to one month only.
  • Search by Time From and by Time To

To filter inbound emails by an Email category, select the desired category from the ones presented below:

  • Certain Spam
  • Probable Spam
  • Virus
  • Error
  • Marketing
  • Phishing
  • Dangerous Attachment
  • Failed Authentication

To start a new search, fill out the necessary fields and adjust the search criteria so it would meet your search inquiry and hit Search. Here is an example of what the search results might look like:

To release a message, tick the box next to the message in question and click on the Release selected button that will appear on top. To release messages in bulk, click on the button located on the very top and then again click on Release selected.

To view more detailed information on the message, click on the message in question while reviewing the search results. The following information will be shown:

  • To address
  • Header from address
  • Envelope from address
  • Replies go to
  • Full subject
  • Source IP 
  • Content if any

Here you can also choose between three available actions for this email: Send to user's inbox, Send to another person in your company and Show in Email Tracking.

If you open a message in Email Tracking, you will see such additional details as Email message cycle and Message details as well as will be able to download this message in EML format.

If you decide to release a virus message, you will see the warning that asks you to confirm that you would like to release this message:

Outbound Admin Quarantine Management

Important: Outbound Quarantine Management is available only as a part of the Email Protection + DLP package.

If your plan includes outbound filtering, you will also see the Outbound tab under the Admin Quarantine section.
