When configuring Outlook via IMAP protocol to connect to your OWA-Only mailbox, several folders may disappear. The affected folders are Inbox, Sent Items, Junk E-mail, Deleted Items and any custom-named folder. If one or several of these folders are not showing up after migration in Outlook but they appear correctly in Webmail, follow the step below:

  1. Configure Outlook profile to connect to OWA-Only mailbox via IMAP.

  1. In Outlook navigate to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > select your email account > Change > More Settings > Advanced > type in INBOX into the Root folder path field > OK.
  2. On the left-side pane right-click your email address > IMAP Folders > uncheck the box When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders > OK.
  3. On the left-side pane right-click your email address > Update Folder List.
  4. Go back to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > select your email account > Change > More Settings > Advanced > remove INBOX from the Root folder path field > OK.

If folders do not show up, it is recommended to repeat the steps all over again until folders reappear in Outlook.
