For security reasons, ConnectID uses Two-factor authentication, which is an additional authentication step.

To access ConnectID Portal, you will need to enter your credentials and pass Two-factor authentication.

As the 1st step, navigate to https://connectid.net/ to log in to the ConnectID Dashboard as usual by entering your credentials and clicking Login:

On the first login with Two-factor authentication, you will be asked to select the Two-factor authentication method and set it up. The following methods are available:

For the Text message and Voice call options, enter your mobile number:

  • specify your country code
  • enter the rest of your number including the area code
    Ex: +1 123 456 7890.

The user can change the authentication method in the ConnectID Dashboard at any time by clicking Settings:

Google Authenticator

  1. On the first login (after Two-factor Authentication has been enabled for you), you will be asked to download and set up the Google Authenticator mobile app
  2. Scan the QR code (during initial setup only) to obtain the verification code. Enter it into the Code field
    Note: you need to have a barcode scanner app on your mobile device

  3. On every login, after you enter your credentials, you will need to open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device to obtain a new verification code and enter it into the Code field.

If you lose your mobile device, upgrade your OS or the Google Authenticator app is deleted from your device, ask your Administrator to reset Two-factor authentication for you. In that case, you will need to set up the Google Authenticator app again following the steps above.

DoubleSafe: Push notification

  1. On the first login (after Two-factor Authentication has been enabled for you), you will be asked to download and set up the DoubleSafe mobile app. The app is available for iOS and Android platforms.
  2. Enter the same number you use for ConnectID:

  3. An SMS with the confirmation code will be sent to this number. Enter it and click Confirm:

  4. If you are not receiving Push notification click Resend push notification on this page. You can also select Use another 2FA method to try another authentication method.
    Note: Google Authenticator will be available only if it was set up before.
  5. Click Allow in order to log in to the ConnectID Dashboard:

    Note: click Deny to prevent unauthorized access attempts.

Note: if you change your mobile number, it will need to be updated both in the Dashboard and in the DoubleSafe app settings:

SMS text message

The code will be sent to the number you specified as a text message. Enter the code and click Next:

Resend the code on this page. You can also select Use another 2FA method to try another authentication method

Voice call

You will receive a phone call with the code to the number you specified. Enter the code and click Next:

DoubleSafe: One-time passcode

  1. On the first login (after Two-factor Authentication has been enabled for you), you will be asked to download and set up the DoubleSafe mobile app. The app is available for iOS and Android platforms.
  2. Enter the same number you use for ConnectID:

  3. An SMS with the confirmation code will be sent to this number. Enter it and click Confirm:

  4. A one-time passcode is generated on your mobile device:

    If you have issues with authentication select Use another 2FA method to try another authentication method
    Note: Google Authenticator will be only available if it was set up before.
  5. Switch to the Code tab to obtain the one-time passcode:

    Note: click Deny to prevent unauthorized access attempts.

Note: If you lose your mobile device or have any other troubles with passing Two-factor authentication you can:

  • select Use another 2FA method on authentication step to try another authentication method
  • ask your Administrator to reset Two-factor authentication method for you.
