Built into many of the parts of Office 2013 are new ways to link what you are doing with various social networking outlets. Outlook 2013 can cross-connect people and contacts between services. This has the advantage of getting data about a person from multiple sources and building a more complete contact for them.
Note: LinkedIn, Facebook, and other apps for Outlook Social Connectors are no longer supported. For more information, see Facebook Connect is no longer available and LinkedIn is no longer available in the Outlook Social Connector.
Note: Outlook Social Connector is not available in Outlook 2016/2019.
How to add Social Networking accounts to Outlook 2013
- Start Outlook 2013 and go to the File tab > Account Settings and select Social Networking Accounts:
- In Social Networking Accounts, choose what Social Networking services you want to add into Outlook:
- When you select a checkbox next to any social network it will expand out and allow you to log in to that service. There is also the option for additional information that it will sync by default.
- In the same menu, you can find the Settings option in the bottom-left corner. You can tell Outlook what to do when one of your contacts is updated on one service or another.
