To troubleshoot installation problems and missing features issues for Windows clients, installer logs are needed. To collect installer logs:
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\ShareSync\Logs\Installer or C:\Windows\temp directory (depends on OS, client version, on which step the update fails etc.) We recommend to check both folders.
- Find the log files that were changed recently and look like:
Note: It is recommended to synchronize only to a local hard drive. Do not use desktop Sync client with flash drives, external hard drives, network drives, or any external media.
