If you have created customized signatures that you want to replicate on another computer using Outlook, you may want to back up all custom signature files located in the default Outlook directory.
To open the default folder for Outlook files, go to Start > Run and insert the following path that corresponds to your operating system. Then click Enter to open the folder.
Windows 7/Windows 8/Widows 10: C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures
Each individual signature has its own file and uses the name that you gave the signature when you created it. For example, if you created a signature named ExampleSignature, the following files are created in the Signatures folder:
- ExampleSignature.htm - Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) auto signature.
- ExampleSignature.rtf -Microsoft Outlook Rich Text Format (RTF) auto signature.
- ExampleSignature.txt - Plain text format auto signature.
To backup the signatures, the mentioned three files can be copied and pasted to a necesssary locations.
